As the children return to school and the mornings and evening feel a littler cooler and darker, my mind naturally wanders towards all things Autumn. This year, as a family and as a business we are embracing all things Halloween; dress up, decor, activities, crafts and trick or treating. If, like me, you are planning to go all in this year, here are a few ideas of our favourite small business finds for the holiday...
Fable Heart
Fable Heart are makers of the most magical, heirloom fancy dress pieces. From crowns and wands to capes and tutus as well as the most beautiful trick or treat baskets, they have you covered for all your Halloween dress up needs.
The Den Kit Company
We are a huge fans of the Den Kit Company in our household and actually own two different den kits! I think this Potion Making Kit is the perfect nod to Halloween, especially if (like me!) you're more keen on the magic and less so fond of the spooky. Packed full of gorgeous natural dyes and components, it is sure to provide hours of spell making fun.
Our Kindi Folk
I feel so lucky to get to work with Jordan from Our Kindi Folk and I truly believe that she is the painter of the most beautiful peg dolls around. We worked together to create our stunning witch peg in this year's Witch Play Kit but why not extend the play by adding a cat, wizard or other creepy character to your collection?
The Little Coach House
The Little Coach House have done it again and released a simply stunning new collection this season. They have several wooden trays and fine motor boards that are perfect for Halloween play. I think this pumpkin tray would go so beautifully with our new Pumpkin Mini Kits, don't you?!
Nutmeg Studio
We buy beautiful window stickers from Nutmeg Studio every Christmas. They are amazing quality and always make a huge impact with very minimal effort (once I learnt the hairdryer trick for removing them that is!). Their Halloween collection this year is so much fun, I particularly love these stickers for your front door that come in various different styles.
Glosters Pottery
Glosters Pottery's Autumn collection launches September 10th and I just can't wait to get my hands on one of their incredible ceramic pumpkin lanterns and maybe a mini pumpkin ornament (or three) too!
